Mattel’s showing at this year’s Toy Fair was pretty impressive. While there were a lot of never-before-seen products, being able to take a closer look at some previously announced pieces was just as cool. To that end, Mattel had the 2 Up prototypes for DC Universe Classics Wave 17 on display. We have reported on these in the past, but seeing the Four Horsemen’s skills in larger detail really puts them in a new perspective. For instance, it seems like there have been a million Hal Jordan figures released since the DCUC began, but the new head sculpts on the Black and white variants are so impressive that our army of Hals will be welcoming two new recruits! The disappointment welled up in us, like so much bile and rage, when we found out the Collect & Connect Antimonitor wasn’t on display. We held it in though, because being asked to leave by security is always, ALWAYS embarrassing! Check out our photos of the prototypes, and make sure to hunt down that Indigo Tribe Atom when these go on sale in the coming months, because according to the Four Horsemen, that sucker took a lot of work!
