Warner Brothers and Cartoon Network are bringing a ton of guests, giveaways, signings, and dancing during Comic-Con's Family Day.
If you're bringing the little ones with you to SDCC this week or are just a fan of the Cartoon Network lineup yourself, on Sunday you'll want to swing over to the WB booth (you'll recognize it by the great big water tower) for the big CN takeover featuring stars and creators from their shows.
I'm sure I've gone on at (possibly embarrassing) length about my love for Adventure Time, one of the shows represented during Family Day, but that's neglecting the good work the CN is doing with the rest of their new crop of shows, including the genuinely terrific Scooby Doo: Mystery Incorporated, which is somehow able to juggle regular winks at the older members of its audience while still telling clear, funny season-long story, as well as The Looney Tunes Show and Young Justice, both well-made reinventions of existing franchises.
The real surprise though has been The Regular Show, which I only caught in bits and pieces here and there, but thanks to some badgering by my lady, I finally checked out, and then watched both the first and second seasons in their entirety. Like Adventure Time, this original series by J.G. Quintel has a nearly perfect mix of humor for kids and adults with an often surreal edge.
This is really a lot of words spent saying that if you're at the Con on Sunday, you owe it to yourself to head over to the WB booth to meet creators and talent for some of the most fun animated shows on TV right now.
