New York Comic Con (NYCC) isn’t quite as large as San Diego Comic Con (SDCC) but that doesn’t mean it’s any less fun! The convention has been getting bigger and bigger every year with 96,000 attendees in 2010. Since it is a little smaller, you’ll probably be able to get into the panels you want to see and talk to any of vendors you want to talk to unlike SDCC, where you have to wait in line all day to get into one panel. The ability to see more stuff is exactly why I’ll be doing my best to make sure I’ll be at this year’s NYCC coming up October 13-16!
All you comic book lovers out there are in for a treat this time around, because DC Entertainment just announced that they will have some of their best talent from DC Comics- The New 52 in attendance at NYCC. The New 52 is a reboot of the DC Universe with all the comic issues being renumbered starting at #1. The talent taking charge of this reboot and who will be at NYCC include: Mahmud Asrar, Brian Azzarello, Greg Capullo, Cliff Chiang, Tony Daniel, Dan DiDio, Keith Giffen, Paul Levitz, Francis Manapul, Fabian Nicieza, Joe Prado, Amy Reeder, Ivan Reis, Ardian Syaf, Scott Snyder, Peter Tomasi, Geoff Johns, and Jim Lee.
