The Cosplay In America photographer provides another glossy gallery of images from his latest con excursion.
Photographer Ejen Chuang hit up Comikaze in L.A. this weekend and, in his continuing quest to document the many ways America cosplays, snapped some images of attendees. As always, my hat is off to you people who take the time and effort to--in many cases--hand-craft these elaborate and involved costumes. For me the best, though, is catching sight of a costume from a character I've either never seen or heard of before where I can nonetheless tell that for whatever reason, this particular character was important to this particular person.
Here's what the Ejen himself had to say about this latest, fantastic batch of photos:
Comikaze Expo 2011 was just held at the Los Angeles Convention Center this past weekend here in downtown LA. For a first year con, the number of attendees was pretty impressive and I had a blast photographing some of the many cosplayers here. Comikaze is billed as a multimedia pop culture expo encompassing comics, gaming, horror, sci-fi, fantasy and anime. Guest of honor include Stan Lee and Elvira. Believe me, it wasn't bad for a first year con -sure there were a few glitches but overall it went pretty well from my perspective. I'm confident this is just the beginning for this fledging con and I'll definitely be back!
