While the rest of world eagerly waits for more details on George Miller's on-again off-again on-again Mad Max: Fury Road, Flickr user Joe Klang (-derjoe-) has been hard at work showing his love for the original Mad Max by recreating the beginning of what has become classic chase scene using nothing other than our favorite building toy, LEGO.
Anyone familiar with the Mad Max franchise should immediately recognize the Ford Falcon XB Interceptor as Klang has done a wonderful job matching the bright yellow, blue and red paint job on the car. Even the setting looks great as it conveys the same sense of emptiness and decay the post-apocalyptic film did.
This build really has us itching for more news on Mad Max: Fury Road, but most of all makes us want to go back and watch the original Mad Max for the millionth time. To see Joe Klang's other LEGO creations head over to Flickr and check out his Photostream.
