Can you imagine the strange future young Bruce Wayne would have had if, instead of a bat, say, Norm Macdonald flew through his window that fateful night? What a different place and different kind of menace the criminal underbelly of Gotham would face.
What could have been, right? We'll have to imagine it as best we can with the help of this clip from the upcoming direct-to-DVD release, Justice League: Doom, which hits next week from Warner Brothers. Check out the clip after the jump.
Justice League: Doom 'Batman's Medicine' Clip
It's interesting that DC is featuring this clip with the relatively lighter side of Batman on display. The story on which it's based, Mark Waid's "Tower of Babel," sees Batman at his most curmudgeonly and bleak, with his distrust of his fellow team members putting the whole league behind the 8-ball.
If you haven't been following our extensive coverage of the movie so far, here's the premise for this reunion of classic Justice League voice actors:
Justice League: Doom finds Superman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Green Lantern, Martian Manhunter, Cyborg and Batman on their heels when a team of super villains discover and implement the Dark Knight’s “contingency plans” for stopping any rogue Justice League member. The story is inspired by Mark Waid’s much-heralded “JLA: Tower of Babel.”
The feature will be available on DVD, Blu-ray, and VOD on February 28th.
