We've seen all manner of neat products come from the workshops of Etsy store owners, but nothing beats some good, old-fashioned 8-bit fun. And that's exactly what the Super Mario Bros. themed Interactive 8-Bit Question Block Lamp provides.
Created by Bryan Duxbury, this awesome lamp is available in assembled and kit forms from his Etsy shop, 8BitLit. Just like the the coin blocks Mario has been smashing all these years, its activated from the bottom. Obviously, you won't be getting any coins out of it, but a swift punch simple touch to the bottom will turn the lamp on and off while playing the classic coin box noise. To make it even better, every eight times you toggle the lamp on and off you'll get the 1-UP noise!

The lamp is designed to hang from a ceiling or fixture, rather than setting next to you on an end table. However, there is a custom stand available from 8BitLit if you decide you don't want to hang it up. A fully assembled and functional version will set you back about $75 while the kit version saves you a few buck at around $55. The optional stand is $15 and all of the products have a two week lead time, so anyone interested in gifting one of these bad boys needs to place an order pretty quick.
