We’re pretty big fans of Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez’s IDW series Locke & Key around here, so imagine our surprise and delight when we found out that we could own the actual keys from the book in real life!
Okay, maybe they’re slightly less magical than their comic book counterparts, which allow the Locke family to sprout wings and fly, command shadows, and open a doorway to a horrific hell dimension. But you can pretend they work, at least. As tweeted about by series writer Joe Hill earlier today, you can check them all out from Skelton Crew:
The collection, which runs the gamut from $20 to $25, include nearly every key featured in the series…. The Studio has even made (spoilers here) the Whispering Iron, the remains of the extradimensional baddies the keys are made out of, once they try to cross into our world without a host.
There’s even a few limited editions not featured in the series, like the IDW key, spotlighting the publisher of the book; and the Alicia Key, which allows you to do a hit duet with the Jay-Z Key. Just kidding about the last one, but we do hear from Skelton Crew that there are nearly a dozen more keys on the way!
You can check all the keys out, while they last, over at the Skelton Crew website.
