Robert Patrick, best known as the shape-shifting T-1000 in "Terminator 2: Judgement Day" and Agent John Doggett in the Duchovny-less seasons of "X-Files" has been cast as Jackson Herveaux, werewolf Alcide's father on HBO's "True Blood." Patrick's character will be introduced via a flashback to the 1980's where we meet Alcide, played by Joe Manganiello, and Brit Morgan's Debbie Pelt as teens.
Patrick will appear in the ninth episode of the currently airing fifth season in an episode titled "Everybody Wants to Rule the World," which airs August 9.
According to THR, Patrick's character was once heroic and inspiring, but now he's given up on life.
This is certainly good news for you Trubies out there as Patrick is one of the best character actors in movies and TV today. He brings gruff sincerity to every part he plays and it should be exciting to see how he meshes with the sexy and supernatural gang in Bon Temps.
