The huge, special edition of Lee's sci-fi take on the Shakespeare's tragedy will be presented at a charity even tomorrow night.
One-time Punisher Thomas Jane will be on hand June 20th to present Stan Lee with the Guinness World Record for the book. Romeo and Juliet: The War was published through 1821 Comics and POW! Entertainment, created by Lee along with Terry Dougas, while it was written by Max Work with art by Skan Srisuwan.
The book sees rival groups of cyborgs and genetically-enhanced men and women vying for dominance in the Empire of Verona when a pair of star-crossed lovers... well, you know how it goes, but add more automatic weapons and armor plating.
For the purposes of the charity, 1821 created a special, limited edition of the book, which will be unveiled tomorrow night at the John Wayne Cancer Center. The new version of coffee table-sized (not actually the size of a coffee table, but you know).
Romeo and Juliet: The War is available now from 1821 Comics in both hardcocver and TPB editions.
