Adult Swim's freedom-lovin', shifless, inbred, cussin', drinkin', hard-livin' cephalopods are back for a sixth season.
Adult Swim has announced that a new season of the series will bow on July 22nd ant 12:15 AM with the new 11-minute episode "Rusty and Tammi Sitting in a Tree, B-A-S-T-A-R-D."
I'll be honest with you: I was a late convert to the series, put off by by the style and tone (from admittedly half-watched episodes) that simply seemed to ape the style of ATHF with abandoned. I really should have bothered to watch closely earlier on, because Squidbillies works on its own laid-back, yet weirdly more hostile wavelength. It's like taking the nastiest character from Aqua Teen, Master Shake, putting him front and center in Earl, giving him a southern accent, a couple of tall boys, and even more unearned self-regard.
