Marvel's funny animal version of Spider-Man will be making his animated debut in an upcoming episode of Ultimate Spider-Man. The character has been around for nearly 30 years now, the creation of Tom DeFalco and Mark Armstrong in the long since defunct Marvel Tails series. Peter Porker was just a mild-manner teen anthropomorphic pig who was bitten by a radioactive aunt and subsequently granted the powers of a spider. From there, Marvel sent the character through any number of funny animal versions of its catalog of characters.
Marvel hasn't made a lot of use of the character in recent years—the last time he was on the page was during a Civil War spin-off penned by J. Michael Straczynski along with a 25th anniversary special in 2010 written by co-creator DeFalco.

Ultimate Spider-Man airs Sundays at 11 on Disney XD.
