On September 4th, Shout! Factory is releasing the first volume of 1997's Ninja Turtles: The Next Mutation to DVD, marking the first time the Saban-produced series has been available on disc in the United States.
Saban, for those of you unfamiliar, is the company behind shows like Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers and other rubber suit action series. In the mid to late 90's, they took a stab at some original programming that made its home here in the States on Fox, like The Next Mutation and Beetleborgs. Instead of facing off against Shredder and Krang each week, the turtles' new enemy was the suitably Saban-esque Dragon Skull.
The two-DVD set will contain 13 episodes and run you an SRP of $19.93. Shout! Factory hasn't provided any details about special features or bonuses at this time.
