Perhaps noticing that so many artists were creating -- and selling, without paying a licensing fee -- ultra-stylish posters based off of their characters and concepts, DC Collectibles has debuted a line of their own. Available exclusively at their online store, the prints are made in two different sizes, on acid-free archival paper-stock.
The majority of the designs focus on the very popular "minimalist" aesthetic, as well as having a retro feel reminiscent of old travel posters and the like. While I remember a bold José Luis García-López Superman or Wonder Woman illustration emblazoning the DC posters of my youth, these have a decidely more...Etsy feel. With just a touch of Shepard Fairey:
The prints range from $19.95-$34.95 and more than 20 are currently available.
