Fan-favorite artist Francesco Francavilla brings back the pulp with a series of comics from Dark Horse featuring his Black Beetle character. First up is "The Black Beetle" #0 in December, which collects the three-part story entitled Night Shift that originally appeared in the pages of Eisner–winning "Dark Horse Presents." Then the 4-issue mini-series "The Black Beetle: No Way Out" will start in January, featuring a brand-new story arc about Francavilla's pulp-inspired hero.
The "Black Beetle" comics will also bring back the lost art of the letters page, and Francavilla & Dark Horse have put a call out for thoughts, comments and questions that can be sent to blackbeetle[at]darkhorse[dot]com for publication consideration.
Lastly, if you happen to be attending Baltimore Comic-Con next week, there's a special Black Beetle/Liberty Meadows piece that will be published in a limited-edition Convention art book at the show -- read Francavilla's blog for more details.
"The Black Beetle" #0 hits stores December 19.
