We've seen plenty of folks re-create Batman's rides over the years, but the Batpod seen in The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises is the hot ticket these days and one fan loves it so much that he took to the scrapyard and built one himself!
The young Vietnamese man behind the impressive scrapyard Batpod seen above is Tùng Lâm, from Vietnam's Lang Son province. He posted a video of his original prototype on YouTube a month or so ago and it was a huge hit, pulling in nearly 370,000 in the first 10 days. Since then, Tùng Lâm has clearly been hard at work putting the final touches on his creation and we think it has turned out pretty well!
While it may not be an exact replica of the Batpod from the films, it's impressive that the builder was able to pull this off with such a limited budget (roughly $480 according to VNExpress) and cheap scrap parts. Sure, there are some other builds that came out nearly identical to the Batpod seen in the films, but those guys had plenty of money to throw at it and just so happen to do this kind of thing for living.
If you want to see Tùng Lâm's version of the Batpod in action, tearing up the streets, check out the video below!
