I have no problem admitting to my strange obsession with RC toys that fly. I have a boatload of RC helicopters laying around my house, but this crazy-fast RC Batwing jet, modeled of course after one of Batman's rides, simply puts those toys to shame.
Created by Chris Allen, this miniature Batwing is fitted with a micro-sized jet engine that hurls it though the sky at extremely impressive speeds. Not only that, it looks just like the Batwing we'd expect to see the Caped Crusader flying around in, which makes it that much cooler. Check out the video below to see thing take off, barrel roll, flip and zip through the clouds!
Pretty amazing, right? According to one of the video descriptions, this bad boy was handmade using the Detrum 70mm EDF combo kit, dollar store foam board, box tape, toothpicks and hot glue – talk about a DIY job! We think it turned out great and really hope that the builder will put some plans up for us to check out. Until then we'll just be watching his videos... over and over again.
