April Fool's Day is one of the best times to stop by ThinkGeek.com. Every year they reveal a bunch of fake new products to get everyone hyped up over nothing. However, some of these gag items actually receive an incredibly positive response, forcing ThinkGeek to make the goofy product a reality. One recent example is the Star Wars Lightsaber Ice Pop Maker!
As the product page so jokingly puts it... “Before Blue Milk, before Ewok Jerky, before that frog thing that Jabba eats, before even Yoda's stew, the main food of the Jedi was ice pops! Of course, a true Jedi made their ice pop holder themselves. Most Jedi used juice to make their ice pops, as it was healthy and nourished the mind and soul, but some preferred alcoholic beverages. These souls became the Sith...”
It's a pretty simple concept really – you put juice or other freezable beverages in the mold, stick the lightsaber handles in and put the whole thing in the freezer for a few hours. After temperatures have dropped and the lightsabers have a nice frosty blade, you pop them out and PRESTO! Lightsaber popsicles!

The set comes with two Luke Skywalker hilts and two Darth Vader hilts, but the best part is the built-in LED lights. Once your popsicles are frozen you can flip the a switch that will light it up your pops just like a real lightsaber!
Sadly, the Star Wars Lightsaber Ice Pop Maker isn't ready for the masses just yet, but ThinkGeek says we can expect its arrival this Fall. It will set you back about $35.
