Have you ever wondered what it would be like to take a tour of the Millennium Falcon from "Star Wars"? Well, Chris Lee and his friends are on a mission to build a full-size replica, detailing the interior and exterior of Han Solo's iconic spaceship! The photo above is a shot of the cockpit console in progress.
FullScaleFalcon.com is the official blog for the project, where you can keep up with current builds and general updates from the team. You'll also have have the opportunity to purchase a t-shirt (or two!) to support the team's hard work and help keep the massive project moving along.
Last year we saw AT-AT for America attempting to gather funds to create a real AT-AT walker inspired by the giant vehicles featured in “The Empire Strikes Back”. The project never really moved past the initial concept, so we're hoping Chris Lee and his helpers can keep this going.
What's most surprising to me is that one of the many deep-pocketed theme parks around the world have never thought of doing this. Surely, a full-scale Millennium Falcon would draw a crowd and you could probably fit a gift shop in there to make some dough while people explore.
