I kid of course -- well, not about renowned astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson's discovery of a Krypton-like system. In a strange, mind-bending collision of science fiction and science fact, this event actually takes place in "Action Comics" #14, hitting stores this week. In the story, written by comics veteran Sholly Fisch, Dr. Tyson helps Superman find the exact location of his home-planet (cut-and-paste important scientific information here):
"The red dwarf star designated for having the ability to support a Krypton-like planet is located in the constellation Corvus 27.1 light years from Earth. The star, designated LHS 2520, possesses a red, highly turbulent surface, somewhat cooler and smaller than the Sun. To find it in the night’s sky, amateur astronomers and Superman fans can follow these coordinates:
But I'm more interested in the race of super-humanoids from said discovered galaxy who, after appearing on our Earth as a result of some sort of strange and cosmic event (Large Hadron Collider, hole punched in fabric of time, etc.), gains incredible powers under our yellow sun and decides to make us all their talc miners or some such other indignity.
I'll be trying to reason with the alien interlopers, of course:
