Will Champion of Coldplay has joined the third season cast of HBO's "Game of Thrones" and he'll be playing a part that's very close to home. Nope, not a Dire Wolf. Champion will be a playing a drummer!
"GoT" fansite winteriscoming.net ventures a guess that Champion's connection to Emilia Clarke (Daenerys) got him the gig. He and his Coldplay bandmates produced "Spike Island" which starred Clarke.
Snow Patrol singer/guitarist Gary Lightbody also joined the series. Are we seeing the coming-together of a Westeros supergroup? Most likely. I eagerly await the casting of Gene Simmons, Pete Townshend and the Tupac hologram.
