As per the official Facebook page, "Game of Thrones" Season 3 will be back on HBO on March 31, 2013.

Little is known about the new season but you can bet that there will be a bit o' blood, a bit o' boobs and a bit more blood and boobs. Oh, and there will totally be some shocking/disappointing/infuriating deaths. Cuz that's "GoT" and that's why you love it.

Keep it here with MTV Geek as we'll be bringing every "Thrones" goodie we can scrounge up over the next 4 1/2 months. Now that the date is set, expect the trickle of info to begin.

In other "Thrones" news, we challenged "GoT" author George R.R. Martin to pit his own creations against some of J.R.R. Tolkien's most famous "LoTR" characters and the results are mighty intriguing. Check out the vid right here:
