Legolas was one of our favorite characters in the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy – there's something about an elf with a bow we just can't get enough of. Now, fans have the opportunity to add the actual bow used by Orlando Bloom in the films to their Lord of the Rings shrine. That is, of course, if you have the money to pay for it.
The “Lothlorien” bow, which was presented to Legolas by Galadriel (Cate Blanchett) during the gifting ceremony seen in the extended cut of “The Fellowship of the Ring” was used by Legolas as his weapon of choice in each of the three films in the series. It measures and impressive 6-feet long and would clearly be the centerpiece of any Lord of the Rings collection.
Profiles in History recently announced that the bow will be part of their upcoming Hollywood auction. That said, you're probably wondering how much something so awesome will cost. While nothing is final until the hammer drops, Profiles in History expects Legolas' bow to fetch a whopping $80,000 to $120,000 when it hits the auction block in December.
Better start saving those pennies!
