R.I.P. Peter Parker bit the dust in "Amazing Spider-Man" #700 and we made this nice video tribute to him.
SUPERIOR! We also ran a first look of "Superior Spider-Man" #1.
DID YOU KNOW? Splash Page reports that Tom "Loki" Hiddleston wanted to direct "Thor: The Dark World"?
"I did ask, half-jokingly, Kevin Feige about directing 'Thor 2' and he said, 'Do you have something to show me?' I said no. He said, 'If you made something and showed me, I might consider it,'" Hiddleston said. "But it's better for the world that he said no. It would be such a responsibility, but I think I'd enjoy it."
QT VS JF! IGN says Quentin Tarantino HATES iconic western director John Ford.
"One of my American Western heroes is not John Ford, obviously. To say the least, I hate him. Forget about faceless Indians he killed like zombies. It really is people like that that kept alive this idea of Anglo-Saxon humanity compared to everybody else's humanity -- and the idea that that's hogwash is a very new idea in relative terms. And you can see it in the cinema in the '30s and '40s -- it's still there. And even in the '50s."
JJ SAYS NOPE! NextMovie reports that J.J. Abrams turned down the opportunity to direct "Star Wars: Episode VII." Probably because he pretty much turned "Star Trek" into "Star Wars" anyway right?
"I declined any involvement very early on. I'd rather be in the audience not knowing what was coming, rather than being involved in the minutiae of making them."
HOBBITS TASTE GOOD! Geek Sugar shows us "One Lord of the Rings Cupcake Collection To Rule All."
'Til tomorrow, gang!
