He's cute; he's tough. He has dreamy eyes and a good bit of muscle-tone. He's roguish. And above all else, ladies and gentlemen — Joseph Gordon-Levitt can ACT!
But I still found it surprising that JGL is quite possibly being considered for the role of Star-Lord in Marvel's 2014 "Guardians of the Galaxy" movie.
MTV Splashpage, quoting Deadline, seems to indicate that this particular rumor may have a hair (one thin hair, mind you) more credibility than all the talk about Gordon-Levitt playing Batman. At the very least, the source cited says that JGL "is in the mix" for the role.

Now, would this particular story be true, that would squash my dreams of the actor doing a cameo in "Man of Steel" as Batman, as well as a full-on role as the Caped Crusader in 2015's "Justice League" movie. But perhaps the role of "Guardians" leader Star-Lord — a character relatively more obscure to the movie-going public than say Bats or Supes — might afford JGL a bit more freedom in playing the character.
All we (might) know for sure is: JGL is playing some superhero between now and 2015. He just is. Maybe he should just play all of them? CGI could make that posible for the "Justice League" flick, for instance. Or Gordon-Levitt, Benedict Cumberbatch, and Tom Hiddleston could just split them all up amongst themselves...
