At Toy Fair, NECA provided us our first full look at Chloe Moretz pre- and post-pig bloodied in the upcoming "Carrie" remake before it hits theaters in October.
Ms. Moretz steps into the iconic and ultra-sympathetic role made famous by Sissy Spacek in Brain DePalma's 1976 slice of perfection. The new version is directed by "Boys Don't Cry" director Kimberly Peirce, which bodes very well for the possibility of the Stephen King adaptation living up the DePalma's first run at the material. "Carrie's" been remade once for TV starring the great Angela Bettis and got itself a lackluster sequel titled "The Rage: Carrie 2" in 1999.
What we see in the pics below is from the climactic scene - spoiler alert for a 37 year old story - where "Carrie" is pranked into becoming prom queen and doused with pig's blood by a group of school meanies. Which then kicks "Carrie's" telekinetic craziness into high gear and things get very interesting...and burny.
NECA's "Carrie" toys will be out in August.
