Your tax dollars at work.
"So I watched that IRS video. I am appalled at the utter waste of US tax dollars."
The six-minute video in question, featuring IRS workers dressed in "Star Trek" uniforms travelling to the planet Notax(!), cost $60,000 to make. It has been used by lawmakers as an example of frivolous governmental spending -- and the IRS has apologized for the video last week. But it's nothing like getting "dressed down" by Captain Kirk, however.
Getting ready to audit Harry Mudd.
The IRS also did a parody of "Gilligan's Island," which they also apologized for. I guess this means no "Family Guy" video.
