LISTEN TO HUGH!
Hugh Jackman wants to know why movie studios can't just be cool and share characters:
I don't know what the legal situation is, but why don’t these companies come together? Why isn't it possible?' Because personally, I would love to mix it up with Robert Downey Jr. and Iron Man and kick his ass. It'd be great.
I'm with ya, buddy.
DID NETFLIX MAKE A HUGE MISTAKE?
Netflix shares dropped after the underwhelming "Arrested Development" got mixed reviews:
Netflix’s stock fell by more than 6 percent Tuesday as investors reacted to critics’ mixed reviews over the weekend of the first new Arrested Development episodes since Fox canceled the TV series seven years ago. The shares shed $14.55 to close at $214.19, marking the biggest one-day drop in the stock in nearly six months.
ALL OF IT!
CinemaSins counts up "Everything Wrong With Green Lantern In 6 Minutes Or Less," and they find a whole lot! Not quite as much as there is actually wrong with it, but they find plenty.
THIS IS WADE WILSON IN THE PORK CHOP EXPRESS!
Brian Posehn tells CBR why Kurt Russell is his ideal Deadpool:
Oh, it's totally Kurt Russell. For me, it's Jack Burton from "Big Trouble in Little China" in the suit in my head. That's the voice I hear when I'm writing it. Or maybe Bruce Campbell.
According to Bleeding Cool, David Finch has been pegged to write and draw the bad guy-centric title "Forever Evil," that'll spin out of DC's rumored "Villain Month." This comes from a tidbit that appeared in our preview of "Justice League of America" #4.
IT'S A SCAM!
Louis Letierrer thinks the studio was ripping you off with the shoddy 3D in "Clash of the Titans" too:
It was a very tough experience. I was literally thrown under the bus for something that ... I still have a good relationship with Warner Bros., but at one point it was like, "Yeah, Louis chose the 3D." And I was like, "No, guys, I didn't choose the 3D. I actually told you it's not working. I couldn't control it. I said don't do it....Yeah, exactly. It was famously rushed and famously horrible. It was absolutely horrible, the 3D. Nothing was working, it was just a gimmick to steal money from the audience. I'm a good boy and I rolled with the punches and everything, but it's not my movie. "Clash of the Titans" is not my movie. And ultimately that's why I didn't do the sequel.
I'LL SWALLOW YOUR SOUL...AT HOME!
Here's the Blu-ray for "The Evil Dead" remake.
'Til tomorrow, gang!
