Ever wondered what "Breaking Bad" anti-hero would look like crossed with a Boo from "Super Mario Bros. 3?" No? Well, artist Andrew Wilson did, creating a series of prints mashing up popular TV shows and movies with the spectral "SMB" baddie.
The images are Wilson's contribution to the Press Start... To Continue project, featuring video game-inspired art from video game artists. San Diego-based Wilson decided to bring together films and television series like "Robocop," "My Neighbor Totoro," and "Bob's Burgers" into the mix by dolling up some Boos with iconic features and costumes from those franchises. He's also got a Buddha ("Boodha") which adds a historical/religious quality to the mix.
The artist created 16 of these images--can you name them all--with one mystery character thrown in for good measure, and available randomly with purchase. Wilson is offering 5” X 7” signed glicee prints blindpacked in groups of three for $20.
