5. I Think You're Sauceome: Sarah is happy!
Sarah Becan started her webcomic, in part, to come to terms with some issues she was having with her self-image. By putting words and images to her issues and concerns, she was able to confront the specifics of her thinking and doing so in a public forum provided a sounding board for others who had similar problems. While her comics have been more sporadic of late, the reason for that is largely one of un-necessity. Sarah notes this week that she's more comfortable with who she is, and she's a happy person because of it. Good on you, Sarah!
4. Vattu: Change in the Empire!
Evan Dahm is one of those webcomic legends in how impressive his body of work has been, both in terms of quantity and quality. He's clocking in thousands of pages, creating an elaborate tapestry of his own fantasy world. But I'm not telling anything you don't already know, right? Well, this week, the secret meetings of the seemingly invisible women have come to a decision that will likely change the very fabric of how their Empire runs.
3. Next Town Over: Krack!
John was just a stage magician; how he managed to piss off a bounty hunter like this in only 18 pages is beyond me! Clearly, creator Erin Mehlos has a back story cooked up that belies the seemingly straight-forward main narrative.
2. The Young Protectors: Kyle and Duncan... well...
Kyle is a young superhero, just learning the ropes. Duncan is an old supervillain who's been around the block more than a few times. For most of the story thus far has had Duncan showing a deep interest in the young and untested hero; he's spent a lot of time wining and dining him, evidently to much success.
1. Tozo: The Empire of the Spider begins!
David O'Connell's ligne claire webcomic, Tozo, originally ran from 2007 until 2012. After slightly over a year's hiatus, the comic returns this week with a new storyline that picks up six months after the conclusion of the last one. And at least one old friend shows up right in the first installment!
