Welcome to MTV Geek's daily round-up of all things GEEK from the weird, wild world of the web! Got a cool link? Share it with us on Twitter at twitter.com/mtvgeek!
Monday was a kind of slow news day - but here's your Daily Geek, in case you missed some, most or even all of it.
The first known photo of Matt Smith in a wig appeared online today. The "Doctor Who" Christmas special episode is currently being filmed. No word yet on what the monsters might be for certain, but suspected to be something well-known and metal.
Ellen Page totally wants to kidnap Joss Whedon and make a Kitty Pryde movie. We agree completely, this thing needs to happen, and it needs to happen like, now.
New SyFy Channel reality TV show, "Fangasm" apparently centered around Tumblr arguments, filmed IRL. Does anyone actually watch these things? The only way I'd watch a reality TV show ever is if it was "Celebrity Big Brother" played by the rules laid out in the first season finale of "Doctor Who".
If you bought "Final Fantasy XIV" for PS3 and were planning to upgrade to PS4 in the near future, rejoice - you won't have to pay a thing. If, however, you are playing it on the PC... fresh outta luck there, buddy.
I know we've mentioned this before, but this time, there is video proof - Benedict Cumberbatch says there have been no formal offers made regarding the new "Star Wars" movie. The question that remains now is, were there any informal offers? WERE THERE? WE NEED TO KNOW.
Also, while we are talking about rumors - there's been a rumor going around on various social networking sites that JK Rowling is writing a new "Harry Potter" book. There are absolutely no grounds for those rumors to stand on. Don't you think every single news service would have headlines to that effect, were it true? It's not true. The cake is a lie.
OH MY GOD IT IS A NEW LOKI POSTER. You probably saw this while you were on Tumblr, but in case you haven't (or need an excuse to see it again) it's over here and it's glorious. Seriously. I need like, a six foot long version of it, to hang up on my Wall of Loki.
So, how does Loki feel about the "Avengers: Age of Ultron" casting? Well... I mean, I could tell you, but it's easier to let you find out for yourself. (What? Don't look at me like that. I'm not summarizing a whole video here. I'm lazy.)
Also, while we're talking about Loki. Look at all this Loki glory. ALL THIS LOKI STUFF. Okay, good job Splashpage, good job.
Exclusive clip from season 8 of CW's "Supernatural" involves the show creators discussing the "found footage" phenomenon. Can we just talk about how we really, really need a return of the Ghostfacers? Or a Ghostfacers spinoff? Or just one more Ghostfacers episode? Please?
