Over 90,000 pieces of "Star Wars" memorabilia and the world's largest walking robot (which happens to be a dragon) have been inducted into the 2013 "Guinness Book of World Records!"
Reps from "Guinness" tell us that "Star Wars" collector Steve Sansweet's expansive haul of toys, statues, and assorted memorabilia from the franchise is currently at 90,000 pieces--and that's just what's been cataloged. In truth, the collection could be closer to 300,000 total pieces! That's a lot of standees and posters.
Then we head to Germany, where Zollner Elektronik created this 50 ft long, 40 ft wide, and 25 ft tall walking dragon robot. "Guinness" awarded this big guy the "Largest Walking Robot" prize because, you know, obviously. The dragon, “Tradinno,” was built by the manufacturing firm, incorporating a series of pneumatics to help this 11-ton monstrosity move around.
The 2013 "Guinness Book of World Records" will be available on September 12.
