In October, Marvel Comics launches their massive Marvel NOW! Point One book, introducing the world to the new reader friendly Marvel Universe coming their way... With some of the biggest writers and artists in the industry on board, writing short stories based on their upcoming, ongoing series. All this week, the Publisher has been releasing looks at some of the stories, but this Exclusive teaser is easily the most mysterious.
It's been long rumored - but not confirmed - that Brian Michael Bendis would be writing a "Guardians of the Galaxy" series, possibly with artist Steve McNiven. The cover of Marvel's Point One issue, featuring a look at GotG member Star-Lord only added fuel to the fire... But that's not Star-Lord in this image, right? Or is it? And there's definitely a star on that gun, but it doesn't look like Star-Lord's classic flame/comet/whatever symbol. Okay, maybe it's not so classic, but it certainly doesn't look like that sunburst symbol on Adorable Blonde-Haired Moppet-Boy's gun.
Anyway, here's the full teaser image, and feel free to speculate/yell at us for not picking up on obvious clues in the comments.
Marvel NOW! Point One hits comic book stands October 17th from Marvel Comics.
