Deadline Hollywood is reporting that Bryan Fuller's "Munsters" redo, "Mockingbird Lane" will probably not go to series. The Bryan Singer-directed pilot starred Jerry O'Connel as Herman Hunster, Portia de Rossi as Lily and Eddie Izzard as Grandpa. According to Deadline, the series was to feature "striking visuals" similar to Fuller's previous ill-fated series "Pushing Daises" (which might be headed to Broadway!).
The pilot reportedly was heradled for its pretty pictures but got the axe due to its "high-concept premise." Translation: the execs didn't buy the whole monster family thing.
Fuller is also working on a "Hannibal" series based on Thomas Harris' famous flesh-eater.
