OK this one's for all you ladies out there, oh and you geek guys that need something for your fabulous fangirl!! The lovely Ashley Eckstein, actress and voice of Ahsoka Tano in Star Wars: The Clone Wars, is hoping to change the perception that science fiction and fantasy is not just for the boys.
Ashley, along with her partner Araca Group, formed the company Her Universe, to create merchandise for lady sci-fi fans! And guess who their first gig is with?? You got it, Lucasfilm baby!
The Star Wars Collection from Her Universe has t-shirts, hats, jewelry and hoodies and well-designed and sized for chicks! At first, I was a bit skeptical, thinking "how much more Star Wars merchandise do we need in the galaxy?" But once I saw Ashley's stuff at the Her Universe booth at both Star Wars Celebration V and the last New York Comicon I realized why!
Check out this super cool Boba Fett underwear set, it's just like the underoos collection from the olden days:

Imagine if you will Woodsy's closet, full of all things silver lamé, Diane Von Furstenburg and Star Wars. Now
I've been collecting Star Wars apparel for a "few" years now and I have quite the collection. I even have a Revenge of the Jedi t-shirt from my ILM days which is my pride and joy. However, all my t-shirts are sized for DUDES and therefore could be cinched with a belt and worn as a dress. WHAT THE FRENCH, TOAST?? Ok people, I think the geekgirl community has made it quite clear that sci-fi ain't just for dudes anymore!!
I'll give you an example. If you'll take a gander on the below image, you'll see on the left a black Darth Vader hoodie. My sister was super stoked to give it to me 2 Christmases ago and it was such a thoughtful gift. It's lined and has rhinestones and is super comfy. The problem? Even though it's a "small" it is still WAY TOO BIG and I hardly ever wear it. Shhhh don't tell her, she'd kill me. But if you take a look at Ashley's Her Universe Star Wars Hoodie on the right, you'll undoubtedly see it fits me like a glove. CHA-CHING!!

You can check out Ashley's line here at www.heruniverse.com. Ashley's company has also announced a deal to create a Syfy-branded collection. What the Frak??? Battlestar Galactica??? Oh yes, "God has a plan."
My one request from Ashley is a female stormtrooper costume for curvy chicks. Can I send you my measurements? Then I can die happily...
