Dark Horse Comics has released 3 "NY Times" best-selling trades that tell the story linking the end of "Avatar: The Last Airbender" to the wildly popular follow-up "The Legend of Korra" titled "Avatar: The Last Airbender - The Promise." And now the company is set to unleash a fancy hardcover "library edition." No details are available at this time but we can assume this sucker will collect the 3 TPB's and some bonus goodies and whatnots.

For most kids of the 80s, Castle Grayskull was the home to incredible battles between the forces of He-Man and Skeletor on Filmation's "He-Man & The Masters of the Universe" animated series. When it came to the massive toy version, Grayskull was represented by an opening facade that could house He-man and his cohorts as they made sure the Evil warriors couldn't breach the walls. While both versions will live in my heart, I was extremely excited (far more than a person has any right to be) to find out that Icon Heroes was releasing a statue of Castle Grayskull in all of its, previously unseen, glory!

Fresh off of the announcement that the Dethalbum III will be hitting shelves and digital retailers on October 13th, Adult Swim has announced the new U.S. tour schedule for Dethklok. The virtual group is heading across the country with metal acts Machine Head, The Black Dahlia Murder, and All That Remains from October through November this year.

In what's apparently a record, DreamWorks Animation has dated a dozen CG-animated films through 2016 at a rate of three movies a year, with four in 2015. Joining their lineup of sequels to previous hits (more "Madagascar", two sequels to "How to Train Your Dragon"), are seven original productions (and one remake of a classic 60's cartoon, ">Mr. Peabody and Sherman").

It's amazing what people can create with some yarn and a needle. We've seen everything from crocheted viking armor to crocheted Boba Fett helmets. Now one creative Etsy seller has taken things a step further, creating crocheted monsters from Pokemon – some of which are life-size!

If nothing else, I can say that Aardman's latest is one of the best-looking movies I've seen in 2012. Now, it should be said that I'm biased here, being partial to stop-motion in particular, specifically the way that this style of animation has a level of texture and depth that CG hasn't quite reached yet. Pirates! Band of Misfits, from Aardman director Peter Lord (he wrote and directed Chicken Run and numerous stop-motion shorts over the last 30 years) is populated with distinctive characters and it's nuts to think how much time and effort has gone into bringing them to the screen along with backgrounds filled with all sorts of cute little side jokes.
