It looks like we'll be getting another season of Chris Elliott as Marshal Chris Monsanto on Adult Swim starting April 12th at midnight. The live-action, surreal cop show is getting a few interesting guest stars this season including Conan O'Brien and Dean Morris (Breaking Bad) along with the return of Marshal Monsanto's sidekicks Susie Wagner (Maria Thayer) and Brett Mobley (Brett Gelman).

The new season kicks off with Jake and Finn pursuing the flame princess that Jake not-so-wisely tried to set his heartbroken pal up with at the end of the season three Valentine's Day finale, "Incendium." Will Jake find "like-like" with the fire elemental, or is she too evil to date? Don't go for her, Finn, you'll get burned!

If you can't wait for the DC Nationshorts "Thunder and Lightning" and "Super Best Friends Forever," take a look at these behind-the-scenes interviews with creators Lynell Forestall and Lauren Faust.

Forestall describes his original pitch for "Thunder and Lightning" as being like a "1970s blaxploitation movie trailer," but the project morphed into a story about DC Comics hero Black Lightning juggling his superhero career and raising his two daughters.

Faust had three words to describe "Super Best Friends Forever": "There's fun. They're funny. There's fighting!"

Ben Bocquelet and Mic Graves are the minds behind the newest Cartoon Network hit, the format-bending The Amazing World of Gumball. Bocquelet is the creator of the series with Graves acting as the series director for the first show to come out of Cartoon Network’s European branch, and it was also the winner of one the Annie Awards’ Best Animated Production for Children over this past weekend—not bad for a show whose blend of 2D, 3D, and stop-motion elements and an unlikely mashup of talking animals, school humor, and strange creatures could easily be considered a gamble both technically and financially.

I spoke to Bocquelet and Graves on the eve of the awards about the show and its surprise success as we try to break down the alchemy that makes the show simply work so well.

Cartoon Network: Punch Time Explosion XL

The fighting genre is a tough one to break into and change. Games like "Street Fighter" and "Mortal Kombat" have long and illustrious histories, whereas newer games like "BlazBlue" and "Marvel vs. Capcom" are trying to bring a new look and feel while still maintaining many elements of the classics. However, there's one relatively new game that was able to break the mold, and really introduce something new to fighting games, "Super Smash Bros." Combining cartoony graphics with precision gameplay has spawned a whole sub-genre of brawlers. With its highly recognizable roster the latest game to enter the fray is Crave Games' "Cartoon Network: Punch Time Explosion XL." Can it really throw down against such fierce competition?
