The Black Dynamite crew at New York Comic Con

In 2012, we'll finally get the long-promised (and promoted) animated take on the 2009 cult blaxploitation satire, Black Dynamite. The film stars Michael Jai White (Spawn, The Dark Knight) as a black street hero and ladies' man who tackles the onslaught of drugs and crime infesting the streets of his neighborhood. Among other things, the movie provides us with the answer to the question, "What's Arsenio Hall been up to?" The upcoming Adult Swim animated series promises to continue the ongoing adventures of the title character as he dispenses justice on the mean streets of the inner city.

White was joined by co-star Byron Minnis, the film's director Scott Sanders, and the animated series' Executive Producer, Carl Jones in fielding a few questions about the new show at NYCC with The Nerdist's Jonah Ray. Read More...

With a batch of episodes from Cartoon Network’s Adventure Time hitting DVD this week under the title Adventure Time: My Two Favorite People, at MTV Geek we thought it’d be great to chat with one of heroic boy Finn’s least favorite people, the socially awkward, princess kidnapping prone Ice King. And since the Ice King isn’t a real person, we did the next best thing and spoke to the voice actor behind him, Tom Kenny. Kenny has been in fixture in voice over work since taking on additional voices in the English language version of Studio Ghibli’s Porco Rosso back in 1992. Read More...

Finally, Young Justice is about to start airing new episodes on Cartoon Network! It's been far too long since Aqualad, Robin, Artemis, and the rest of the team have been on our screens, fighting evil and whining about the hardships of growing up...or being a clone.

"Targets" is the latest episode and sees a peace agreement between North and South Korea Rhelasia being brokered by none other than Lex Luthor. However, a couple of hired assassins have other plans in mind with only Red Arrow reluctantly standing between them and Lex's bald visage. Also, Miss Martian and Superboy go to their first day of school. Yep.

Batman: The Brave & The Bold is drawing to a close, and we were privileged to get a sneak peek at the latest episode to air on Cartoon Network, "The Scorn of the Star Sapphire"! There are quite a few surprises during this episode, beginning with the opening teaser featuring another DC icon. Join us as we review tonight's episode of Batman: The Brave & The Bold.

In this episode, Batman mops up crime in Coast City while Hal Jordan tests out his new Ferris Air-built vehicles. During some encounters with Green Lantern-related supervillains, the Star Sapphire shows up to cause trouble for the team of Batman and Hal Jordan. Hilarity and violence ensue.

Below are some random notes we made while watching the show:

Batman: The Brave & The Bold is going out with a bang! With the final episodes are airing on Cartoon Network, a superhero-shaped void will be left in our hearts and our eyes will no longer be able to take in the antics of Batman and his cohorts-- fighting crime and singing songs! MTV Geek was lucky enough to talk with James Tucker, producer and lead character designer on Batman: B&B, about the past and future of our favorite bat-centric cartoon!

MTV Geek: Besides Batman, who's been your favorite character to work on for the show?

James Tucker: Aquaman would be the obvious choice, but the Spectre is one I'm really glad we got the chance to put in, because we never got to do it when I was on Justice League. Typically, the characters we wanted to use but could never figure out how to use on Justice League are the ones that I tend to gravitate towards. But, Aquaman is my favorite character to really answer your question. [Laughs] I'm also glad we finally put Wonder Woman on the show and she'll be in the teaser for this upcoming episode "Scorn of the Star Sapphire".

Young Justice is about to start it's new season very soon on Cartoon Network, and we are very excited to see what's coming up. In our opinion, YJ is second only to ThunderCats when it comes to current American animated series, and takes top spot over previous beloved DC animated shows (Scream at us in the comments section JLU fans!). The character interactions, dynamic stories, and big-name guest appearances have made Young Justice into a show that is not to be missed. In honor of the upcoming season, we've put together some of our videos from this year's San Diego Comic Con to satiate your appetites of teens in tights. Wait, that sounded creepier than we meant it to...

This week's episode is ThunderCats, "Legacy," is right in the middle of major spoiler territory, given that it reveals a lot of the new mythology for the series while also providing the Lion-O and company as well as the series itself broader direction for the rest of the season. Without giving too much away, this episode gives us some backstory on Mumm-Ra, the Sword of Omens, as well as some of the other creatures that inhabit Third Earth in the show's "present."

I'll do my best to avoid spoiling the episode, but just keep in mind I'll be treading lightly around the details of some of the things you might see this week.

****Possibly maybe mild spoilers after the jump****
