You really have to ask: what would make YOU walk away from a sweeeeet gig writing two separate "Green Lantern" spinoff books?
According to the now former "Green Lantern Corps" and "Red Lanterns" writer Joshua Hale Fialkov on his personal blog, it was really quite simple:

Grant Morrison is no stranger to comic book fans. He is the prolific writer responsible for some of the most iconic modern era stories in the DC Universe. From "Final Crisis," to "All-Star Superman," to "Batman Incorporated," to his recent run on "Action Comics" that re-booted and re-defined Superman in DC’s "New 52."
Morrison’s work has taken the mainstream spotlight lately, making headlines with the high profile death of Robin, who also happened to be Batman’s son Damian Wayne, in last month’s "Batman Incorporated" #8. His epic run on "Action Comics" just closed with issue #18 and took Superman into a multi-dimensional game changing tragedy laden battle with the Fifth Dimension’s Lord Vyndktvx, which was fought through three time periods in the Man of Steel’s life. Back in January we told you about DC's plan for a monthly, ongoing series starring He-Man and all his buddies who master the universe in "He-Man and the Masters of the Universe." While Grant Morrison thought the "original idea" of Wonder Woman was kinda cool, as well as that Lynda Carter TV series -- that's pretty much it. His unnamed Wonder Woman comic book for DC will both contain elements of those WW versions, and be "a completely new version."

DC Comics released the latest of their "Surprise!" (not official branding, but I needed some sort of name for it) gatefold cover stunt, for "Suicide Squad" #19 -- showing Harley Quinn and The Unknown Soldier apparently slaughtering the rest of the team.
