We all know that rundown back lot and unkempt urban park could benefit from some beautification. Sadly, some municipalities don’t have the budget (or drive) to keep their parks in proper order these days. That’s where Flower Grenades come in. Just toss one of these eco-bombs in a dingy corner of your yard or local park and watch it breathe new life into an otherwise unsavory landscape. Read More...

When a Windows PC freezes up we all know what to do -- press ctrl+alt+delete until the piece of crap reboots and tells you just how naughty you‘ve been. Unfortunately, when our brain gets all mucked up we don’t have the same option… or do we?

ThinkGeek has a set of awesome Ctrl-Alt-Delete coffee cups that look like actual keyboard keys when they’re flipped over. Now whenever our brain is locked up we’ll be able to reboot in no time! They even come with a circuit board etched tray to set them on when they’re not in use. Read More...

It’s the little things that keep us happy and the excitement I felt when I saw these Triforce coasters currently selling on Etsy proves it. They may not the be the most incredible pieces of Zelda merch we’ve ever seen, but the coffee table would look pretty damn good with these geektastic glass holders on it. Read More...

A couple weeks ago we showed you some Marvel Superhero Hoodies and while there’s no denying those were awesome, these Star Wars Costume hoodies we stumbled across at ThinkGeek might be a little cooler.

There are 3 designs - Darth Vader, Boba Fett and a Stormtrooper. Each features a zip-up hood (something those Marvel hoodies left out) to complete the costume with a mask. The back of the Darth Vader hoodie is blank and the Stormtrooper version sports a Star Wars logo. Boba Fett is definitely our favorite because it features an all around design with the jetpack printed on the back -- sadly it’s not functional. Read More...

We have been waiting for an Angry Birds board game for quite some time now. The gameplay on smartphones and tablets just seems like it would lend itself to a real-world game so well and our wish has finally been answered. Knock on Wood is the official Angry Birds board game and it’s available right now! Read More...

ThinkGeek has had a bunch of Minecraft-themed products available for a little while now and it looks like the nerdy online retailer just added two new ones!

First up is the Minecraft Foam Pickaxe. It’s modeled after the same pickaxe players use in-game, though you probably won’t be able to do any real mining with it. Second is the Minecraft Sticky Notecude which I imagine could be a little more useful than a foam pickaxe... Read More...

Etsy merchant Miterbox recently started selling Retro TV iPad stands and they look pretty damn cool. I never had the luxury of owning a black and white TV, but those of you who’d like to relive the memory may want to check these out.

Each stand/dock is completely handmade -- no word on what kind of wood is used, but they still look very nice. Another cool thing about them is the fact that they are made to order. Whether you’ve got an original iPad or an iPad 2 you still haven’t put down, Miterbox will make a dock just for you. Read More...

You will never fly, web-sling or see through walls. I’m sorry, that’s just the way it is. You can, however, look awesome. All you have to do is get one of these spectacular Marvel superhero hoodies from ThinkGeek.

They’ll cost you 50 bucks, but not a single nerd will look as badass as you do. Especially if you buy the black Spidey one -- it’s on the “Top 5 Coolest F**king Hoodies of All Time” list I keep in my head, so you know it’s worth it. There’s a classic Spider-Man version as well, and the perfect hoodie to wear to that Captain America movie you’ve been fantasizing about nightly. More photos after the jump. Read More...

Father’s Day is right around the corner, so we thought it would be a good time to throw together a list of 10 geeky Father’s Day gifts. Whether it’s a wallet-shaped hard drive or just few comic books, we need to embrace Dad’s geeky side this year.

Wallet Hard Drive
We just couldn’t resist throwing this hard drive in here. For the father who needs a place for videos, pictures, music, documents, presentations or anything else, this 640GB wallet drive is the ticket. It’s encased in leather and will fit in Dad’s back pocket just like a wallet. VerbatimStore.com sells them for Just under $200, but you can head over to Amazon and pay about half that -- if they're in stock.

Whiskey Stones
A nice cold drink after a hard day’s work is a great way to relax, but ice always makes it all watery. With Whiskey Stones dad won’t ever have that problem again. Just pop these specially designed rocks in the freezer for a couple hours and you’re good to go. You can wash them over and over again and they come with a nice little carrying pouch. A set of 9 will set you back about $20 at ThinkGeek.

Binary Dad T-Shirt
Dads need shirts just like anyone else, but geeky dads need shirts that let everyone know just how geeky they are. This shirt makes it abundantly clear by displaying “DAD” in the geekiest language of them all, binary code! ThinkGeek has them for $17. Read More...

It may not actually help you out in the event of a ghoulish encounter, but this Proton Pack backpack will definitely get the attention of the ladies. Actually, it probably won’t do that either, but it looks cool and the wand comes off so you can aim it at your friends.

ThinkGeek is the place to go if you want to snag one. They cost 40 bucks and feature three separate pockets, one of which is the detachable wand. The Proton Pack is actually just printed on a khaki colored backpack, but we have no doubts it’ll match the jumpsuit you’re preparing for San Diego Comic Con. Read More...

Stumbling across a messenger bag or backpack that can charge you mobile gear with an integrated solar panel isn’t that big of a surprise these days. However, a Danish company named Diffus is taking that idea step further by actually making integrated solar cells fashionable and functional.

On those sunshiny days The Solar Handbag uses 100 little solar power stations to soak up enough rays to charge your mobile device and a lithium ion battery hidden inside the bag. That battery can then be used in the evening, when there’s no sun to be found, to charge whatever device needs it. Even if it's not the brightest day, the bag will still be able to charge your mobile device. On top of that, the inside of this solar purse has a bunch of optic fibers that glow just enough to help you find your keys or other items lost in the handbag abyss. Read More...

It’s Memorial Day! Hopefully you planned ahead this year to ensure it’s the geekiest of occasions. We spent some time cruising around the web for inspiration and ended up finding some awesome geek BBQ gear. A Slave Leia apron and R2D2 smoker are some of the more hardcore creations, head past the break to see how your gear stacks up. Read More...

If your looking for a way to help the environment (kinda) and listen to jams at the same time you should check out Trash Amps. Rather than wasting new materials, Trash Amps turn your old soda cans and carryout boxes into "ridiculously loud" portable speaker systems! Head past the break for more images and a video. I bet the chair you’re sitting in right now is pretty lame. Just a boring chair you bought to put in front of your desk, nothing special right? Well it’s time for an upgrade, not for your desk, for you. You’re the king of your world and every king needs a throne -- a really geeky throne.

This Space Invaders chair doesn’t look like it would be that comfortable -- my arms definitely wouldn’t sit right on those arm rests -- but it sure looks awesome! At least you have a place to sit when fending off alien invaders becomes less important than doing nothing, and you’ll look pretty cool not doing it.

Unfortunately, this chair is just a concept -- I know, we’re not happy about it either -- but we are really hoping these things go into production. What would be cooler than a bunch of Space Invaders chairs lining the walls of your game room? Nothing.

You can get more info and scope out some other color ideas at Dorothy. Head over there if you want to waste even more time wishing we could actually buy (and sit in) one of these awesome seats.
