Happy Halloween! With trick-or-treating set to begin this evening, we expect quite a few pint-sized Jedi, Rebel soldiers and Ewoks will be storming the neighborhood. That's all well and good, but they had better keep an eye for this guy, who will apparently be taking to the sidewalk in this awesomely huge Star Wars AT-ST costume. Read More...

If you had these two pumpkins at your door -- based on some of DC's most terrifying super-villains -- you'd scare off those annoying little trick-or-treaters for sure! Nothing but tricks this year! HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
Celebrate Halloween by watching these amazing time-lapse videos of artist Andy Bergholtz carving up Joker and Two-Face pumpkins: Read More...

We've talked about quite a few geeky costume hoodies leading up to Halloween but, for the most part, they've all been focused toward the male audience. Fear not lady geeks! We promise you haven't been forgotten! In fact, this Star Trek Spock hoodie is just for you! Read More...

Earlier this month, animator J.G. Quintel's Emmy-winning The Regular Show returned for a fourth season on Cartoon Network. Among the new batch of episodes featuring slacker park employees Mordecai and Rigby, we got a brand-new Halloween episode with "Terror Tales of the Park Part II," a sequel to last year's half hour of horror.
Recently, I spoke to Quintel about the spookiest day of the year and romance, along with his thoughts on the upcoming release of the next DVD release Regular Show: The Best DVD in the World *At this Moment in Time next Tuesday, and his hopes for a full season release.

It might be too late to try making your own, but there's no denying the creativity behind this Halloween costume. Once again a geeky dad has proven that geeky dads are the best dads ever by creating an "Aliens"-inspired power loader costume complete with a baby Ripley-sized cockpit. Read More...

MTV Geek LOVES Halloween -- so we've decided to share our fave frightful movies, TV shows, comics, and books with you all month long!
I like to think of Return of the Living Dead as The Matrix of zombie movies. In the way that the Wachowskis' film was a rule-breaking love letter to Hong Kong action and high concept sci-fi, Dan O'Bannon's 1985 film did right by the zombie pics of the past while also carving out its own distinctive niche as a bloody, funny, and deeply nihilistic horror comedy. Also, like The Matrix, RotLD was followed by subsequently weaker entries which seemed to miss the whole point, but we'll talk about the zombie Romeo and Juliet in a bit.

Show me you love me!
- Winona Brackett (Tim Curry, "Death of Some Salesman")
Tim Curry out-Klumps Eddie Murphy. Ed Begley Jr. sells the promise of a good death door to door. The "o" face you can't unsee.
This Tales From the Crypt episode directed by series producer Gikber Adler isn't the best episode of that show or even really my favorite. But with its healthy helping of dress up and darkly funny prankersterism, it feels just right for the Halloween season.

It's the most frightening time of the year (aside from tax time!) and all of the ghouls and goblins are coming out of the woodwork just in time for Halloween. Even this guy, who happens to be a zombie sculpture made entirely out of pumpkins and pumpkin guts, is getting ready for the festivities! Read More...

Check out an exclusive behind-the-scenes documentary revealing the making-of Haven's special Halloween-themed episode, which will air on Friday, October 26 at 10/9c on Syfy. #EscapeToHaven
The doc takes an inside look at tonight's show guest-starring "Game of Thrones"' Iain Glen and directed by "Beverly Hills 90210" alumnus Jason Priestly, spotlighting the cast and creators in the slow buildup from the page to the screen. How will they break the story? Who will get to be a cowboy? Will the episode make it to air? (Spoilers: yes).

MTV Geek LOVES Halloween -- so we've decided to share our fave frightful movies, TV shows, comics, and books with you all month long! ...and as you're anxiously awaiting the arrival of Oct. 31st, tune in to MTV's Halloween Movie Marathon--hosted by the casts of "Teen Wolf and "Awkward"--this Friday to Sunday!
Why do I love "Friday the 13th Part 2"? Is it because this is the first official appearance of pop culture kill-con Jason Voorhees (witha bag on his head!)? Is it the exploding title? Is it the effortless charm of Camp Crystal Lake/Blood attendees? Is it the bonzo-bananas ending? Is it Jason's Sloth face? Is it the nonsensical opening scene? Is it the attempt to add a dash o' smarts to an otherwise lackluster blood-fest?
Is it all of the above? Read More...

Sure Halloween isn’t until next week, but who cares about that? Not The Hub, that’s who doesn’t. The increasingly popular kids TV network held a spooky, “Haunted Hub” themed party in New York City, featuring R.L. Stine and free candy… So naturally, we were the first one’s to RSVP.

So this is one of those unfortunate years where Halloween falls in the middle of the week. Trick or Treating and/or terrifying Trick Or Treaters on a Wednesday? No thank you.
Fortunately, Adult Swim is rolling out the seasonal fun a little early with this Sunday's A Very Venture Halloween Special, the first new material since last years Shallow Gravy mockumentary and a little under two years since the second half of season four wrapped. Read More...
