In the 1980s, there was no cooler "Transformers" toy than Soundwave, at least in this writer's opinion. I mean, he was an evil monotone Decepticon filled with evil tape-bots! And you could buy the tapes and hide them inside him! How could you possibly get cooler than that?

Superfans and scalpers, start your engines -- Hasbro has enough cool exclusives at San Diego Comic-Con to drain your bank account several times over!
As reported in USA Today, Hasbro has a slew of exclusives planned for this year's SDCC (July 18-21), that fans are going to be making a beeline for once the show opens...and which most of them will not actually be able to get and wind up paying hugely inflated prices for on eBay in the ensuing weeks.
We might be speaking from personal experience.

Hasbro, owners of "Dungeons and Dragons" publisher Wizards of the Coast have announced that they are partnering with mobile game company DeNA to release "Dungeons and Dragons: Arena of War" for iPhone, iPad, and Android devices.

During Toy Fair 2013, Hasbro unveiled yet another incarnation of their Transformers franchise: Construct-Bots! These figures move beyond just the construction/customization-aspect of their Kre-O brand by incorporating ball-joint articulation and the ability to transform without being disassembled! Bumblebee was one of the first to be shown (of course) thanks to the massive popularity he’s garnered over the last few years, but today MTV Geek is bringing you an exclusive first look at the upcoming Scout Class and Elite Class assortments—including, my favorite Decepticon, Shockwave!

G.I.Joe is my jam. When I was little, I engulfed every issue of Marvel’s comic book series as well as all of Hasbro’s toys. Couple that with the fact I’m an army brat and boom, you have a super fan. Almost twenty years ago, Jurassic Park arrived in theaters, and ushered in a new age of cutting-edge CGI (and less-than-cutting-edge in films that weren’t as good), along with that sweet line of Kenner figures with scary sculpts, creepy pop-out flesh “wounds” and less-interesting human figures that didn’t look anything like Sam Neill or Jeff Goldblum.

Hasbro is celebrating "The Rise of Darth Vader" with its new line of "Star Wars" toys at Toy Fair complete with the transforming Anakin Skywalker to Darth Vader action figure, which sees the Jedi change into his role as the sinister Sith lord as you assemble parts of Vader's suit onto the poor, heartbroken Hayden Christensen. At Toy Fair, Hasbro had blocky KRE-O Kirk, Spock, Scotty, and others from "Star Trek Into Darkness" on hand, including villain THE SPECIALIST? They showed off blocky version of the aforementioned characters from the upcoming flick. One of the most intriguing bits of info we got from these killer KRE-O's - aside from the lovely, glowy, effervescent LIGHTTECH on some of the vehicles - is the inclusion of Borg in the new line! Does that mean, the baddies are somehow assimilating themselves into J.J. Abrams' film? Find out in our video tour of the KRE-O booth below!
