On San Diego Comic-Con 2012's Preview Night, we had a number of stops that were on the top of our list. Naturally, the thought of seeing new Marvel Legends had us making a bee line for the Hasbro booth as soon as we made it inside the convention center! Waiting for us, protected by a glass case, was the entire line up for Series 3 (Wave 1 of '13), including the variants. What wasn't waiting for us? A new Build-A-Figure. The figures in Series 3 are packaged instead with the hexagonal figure stands like we've seen in the Wal-Mart exclusive "The Avengers" 6 inch line. While those stands are admittedly quite awesome, when it comes to displaying your figures, they are in no way a good enough substitute for a BAF! Dwight Stall, the-man-with-the-plan when it comes to Hasbro's Marvel Legends, told us that while the Build-A-Figure concept isn't dead, they have something else fun planned for 2013.

Obviously, this new addition wasn't packaged with the figures, so perhaps a mail-away figure? Only time will tell-- and by "time", we mean "when they tell us on Saturday at the Hasbro Marvel panel." Read on for a look at all of the Marvel Legends Series 3 figures, including the red Deadpool variant!

In the world of toys it's pretty much agreed that G.I. Joe and Transformers are two brands that not only stand the test of time, but also have some nice releases regularly hitting shelves-- regardless of the various incarnations. Well, like last year, Hasbro is combining their two flagship-franchises for a brand-new exclusive set at the 2012 San Diego Comic-Con international! This time, fans get a shot at picking up a Cobra H.I.S.S. Tank that features a deco and extra pieces to give it the appearance of every Trans-Fan's favorite cyclopian, purple, laser-pistol: Shockwave! While the previous Starscream and Cobra Commander set was fantastic, this year's goes one step further in delivering even more of a "story" by adding extra accessories like Energon cubes, a briefcase full of cash, a Constructicon-colored B.A.T., and even a tiny Soundwave! Read on as we review this SDCC-Exclusive set to see if it more than meets our eyes! (Yes, that WAS horrible.)

Last year, Hasbro introduced their own brand of building block sets, going by the name: Kre-O. Yes, it ends in an "o", just like that other building block brand, but Hasbro brought a little something different to the table with the release of their Transformers Kre-O toys. The first assortments consisted of constructable Autobots and Decepticons that could be assembled in either robot or alt-mode depending on how you were feeling at the time. Each set also had at least one Kreon mini-figure included that represented classic G1 looks of fan-favorite bots, or soldiers, cops, etc. While we reviewed our own set, the biggest surprise was just how cool the Kreons were and we instantly wished they were available separately. Now, our wishes have not only been granted, but expanded into something even better: Kreon Micro Changers! While info for these new releases have started making their rounds on the internet over the weekend, we're excited to be bringing you an exclusive First Look at the Kreon Micro Changers, and their Combiner counterparts!

If there is an award for creating the biggest exclusive toy for the 2012 San Diego Comic-Con International, then Hasbro has won it hands down with their Marvel Universe S.H.I.E.L.D. Super Heli-Carrier! What better way to wind down from a day of patriotic barbeques and fireworks than by reading a review for Nick Fury's stamp on American militarist ingenuity?! Join us as we take a look at the Super Heli-Carrier and see if it's worth taking the space normally occupied by our coffee table!

Oh, and as you can see above, we tossed it in a lake for good measure field testing! It floats!

While we've had no shortage of new toy coverage as of late, thanks to the tons of 2012 San Diego Comic-Con International-exclusives, this weekend saw the annual G.I. JoeCon take place in the sweltering party-haven known as new Orleans, Louisiana and with it, the reveal of a ton of new G.I. Joe action figures! Sure, G.I. Joe: Retaliation was pushed back until the end of time March 29th, but that didn't stop Hasbro from whetting fan's collecting appetites with a slew of new 3 3/4" Joes from the film. Not only that, but prepare yourselves for a look at some of the tiniest combat-ready troops from both the Joe and Cobra forces to ever hit the battlefield with G.I. Joe Micro Force! These have that Super Hero Squad kinda feel, and we're dead set on acquiring that tiny Zartan!

At the 2012 San Diego Comic-Con International, Hasbro is bringing along a ton of highly-anticipated convention exclusive toys. Their Transformers brand, in particular, sees a lot of love with limited edition figures based on video games, animation, and even a comic book-style crossover with another Hasbro mainstay: G.I. Joe! The G.I. Joe crossover toy has apparently become an annual event after last year's incredible Starscream/Skystriker combo.

Full Disclosure: I've seen 52 episodes of The Hub's My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.

Am I a fan? Not really, but I don't hate it either. You see, I am beholden to the whims of a nine year-old evil genius who manages to run roughshod over me when it comes to TV viewing, so seeing Rainbow Dash rushing headlong into trouble is now as common as witnessing Spider-Man doing the same. The show is surprisingly funny, with some jokes hitting the same all-ages flair as those found in Adventure Time and Regular Show, and we watch it together while hating on Applejack -- She's so needy! Anyway, while recently roaming the aisles at Meijer and looking for the new Hasbro 3 3/4" Avengers Hawkeye, I came across a temptation beyond compare: blind bagged toys! Not just any old pieces of hidden plastic, mind you, but My Little Pony! Knowing my addiction to secret toys AND my daughter's love of the cutie-marked equine, I grabbed a few and decided to review 'em.-- Cause why the hell not, right?

Finally, the hole in our "Mutant-Assassins-In-Kick-Ass-Monochrome-Costumes" collection gets partially filled thanks to Marvel.com's announcement of the Hasbro Marvel Legends Uncanny X-Force 3 Pack that will be available exclusively at the 2012 San Diego Comic Con International! To say that we are excited for these figures would be putting it mildly, as each month Uncanny X-Force manages to to be filled with one gore-filled mission after another and Hasbro's Marvel Legends are quite possibly today's hottest action figure line. Archangel, Psylocke, and Wolverine make up the set and will come packaged in a nice window box-- that we will immediately tear open, cause toys are meant to be played with! These mutant-powered kill-machines will go well with Series 2's Fantomex and, the upcoming, Series 3's Deadpool.  If you're not able to make it out to SDCC, don't sweat it as this pack will also be available in limited quantities on HasbroToyShop.com.

*SPOILER ALERT: If you haven't seen The Avengers by now, you're probably waiting for the Blu-Ray (or hate awesomeness), so please refrain from griping when we mention plot details in this review. Actually, gripe all you want. It's a free country.

THANOS!-- Heh, just screwing with you. The Avengers has rightfully spawned a ton of tie-in toys and has now received not one, but 5 different action figure lines! Diamond Select Toys (Marvel Select, Minimates), Hot Toys (1/6th scale doppelgangers), and Hasbro (3 3/4" figures) have all tossed their winged helms into the Avengers' "Figure Thunderdome", but only Hasbro has pulled the short-shipped-and-hard-to-find card with their latest Wal-Mart Exclusive 6" Movie Line Avengers Figures. Indeed, the "Low Price Leader" has staked it's claim on these Marvel Legends-style toys and rumor has it, they're limited to around one case per store. While we're not sure about that, what we do know is that Loki, like Hawkeye and Hulk, is packaged only one per case. Now the "Rare" part in our title is making a little more sense, right? Well, regardless of the God of Mischief's soon-to-be-ebay-expensive nature, we're tearing his plastic prison open and letting his conniving out for this review!

Hasbro's Marvel Legends action figure line has managed to become a success thanks to the recent relaunch of the line which features far better articulation and attention to detail than their previous hiccup after taking the line over from Toy Biz back in 2007. Like their 3 3/4" Marvel Universe line, Hasbro's Legends now feature character-specific artwork on the packaging courtesy of Marvel's most popular artists. While series 1 and 2 of the relaunch featured heroic designs by Ed McGuinness, it was revealed through Marvel's Twitter last week that Clayton Crain (X-Force, Carnage U.S.A.) will be taking over art chores for the upcoming Marvel Legends Series 3. As a bonus, Marvel even revealed a couple of sneak peek images!

Read on for full looks at the art, along with a couple of the figures that have been revealed so far!

In Transformers: Prime, which airs the penultimate episode of its second season tomorrow, Ernie Hudson plays government man Agent William Fowler, a human liaison between Federal authorities and the Autobots. A regular on the series since it began, Hudson's character is a gruff, career tough guy who, over the course of Transformers: Prime's two seasons has developed a tentative trust with those alien mechanical visitors. The Ghostbusters and The Crow actor was kind enough to chat with MTV Geek about his experiences lending his voice to Transformers: Prime while giving us the inside scoop on Agent Fowler.

The art of the retcon may have been perfected in the comic book industry, but board games can occasionally get in on the fun too. When it was first announced that the Battleship movie would feature an evil alien race, the internet snark machine started firing on all cylinders. "But there aren't any aliens in the Battleship board game!" the commenters decried, so what was Hasbro to do? For starters, they've gone back and re-made the original Battleship with added alien ships. Happy now?

The new movie edition has replaced one fleet with a set of five alien ships: the flagship, heavy ordnance craft, red storm stinger, blue shredder stinger, and the small assault ship. I'm going to go out on a limb and assume these  names will make more sense once you've seen the movie.
