It takes few things to really get the attention of New Yorkers, but something landed in the heart of Times Square this morning that will surely fascinate both locals and visitors over the Memorial Day Weekend. A stunning 1:1 scale replica of "Star Wars’" iconic X-wing Starfighter built from LEGO bricks was unveiled today as an interactive fan experience, which also happens to be the 30th anniversary of 1983’s release of "Return Of The Jedi."

Great Scott! LEGO has just revealed that the "Back to the Future" DeLorean concept submitted to LEGO Cuusoo is going into production for all for us to buy! That's right, the project received the necessary 10,000 supporters, and made it through the summer LEGO review process.

I've always wanted to visit Legoland, and if I ever to do finally make it there I'll have a nice LEGO pillow to rest my head on. Well maybe not, but the room will definitely be LEGO-themed. Construction on the Legoland Hotel is apparently ahead of schedule, and will officially open its doors to the public on April 5th, 2013.

LEGO was putting out new reveals each day for their licensed lines during New York Comic Con 2012, and the latest comes from this winter's most anticipated movie "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey". Two new sets were shown, along with Bilbo Baggins' abode that was first seen at SDCC 2012. The Goblin King makes his presence known in the largest of the two sets and may hold the title as the largest LEGO minifigure to date! He towered over Gandalf in the display and dwarfs the Avengers Hulk minifigure! While this has been rumored pretty heavily over the last few weeks, this is the first time official word has been given and, thank Krang the Kraang, they even sent along some images! While 2012 saw the release of only a few DC Superheroes LEGO sets, 2013 looks like it's going to be a busy year-- especially for the heroes of Gotham City. Although we don't have info on all of the sets themselves, we DO have photos of every single Minifigure release for the DC property, including everyone's favorite mush-mouthed Bane as he appeared in "The Dark Knight Rises"! These figures will be released sporadically throughout 2013 in various sets, so be sure to keep an eye out, and read on for all the photos, beginning with the Bat-centric releases-- except Aquaman, who swims his way into the lineup like a Candiru fish into a urethra (look it up).
