The vintage Masters of the Universe line was littered with variant versions of He-man and Skeletor. Mattel knew that the main heroic warrior and his archenemy were their bread and butter with both kids and parents alike, so every couple of quarters there were new versions hitting the pegs. One of the more intricate figures (action feature-wise) was Thunder-Punch He-Man who utilized the, now frowned upon, cap-gun technology to add some oomph to his beatdowns! The action feature for T.P. (Toilet Paper?) He-Man was such an integral part of his sculpt that when it came time for his MotU release, The Four Horsemen had to get creative-- and they certainly did! Join us as we review Thunder Punch He-Man: Heroic Leader with a Power Punch!

Toy Fair 2012: Mattel Shows off 'The Dark Knight Rises' Toys

UPDATE: Warner Bros. & Mattel have asked that the pictures from MattyCollector.com be removed.

During Toy Fair 2012, Mattel revealed a new line of Movie Master figures based on the upcoming "The Dark Knight Rises" film (You can watch the video above and check out our coverage here.) that each come with a piece to construct a working Bat Signal! The first three (Batman, Bane, and Catwoman) were shown, but there are 6 figures in the line. Who are the other 3 Bat-centric action figures the Four Horsemen sculpted to perfection? Well, Mattel just announced 2 of them, along with the new packaging for the line. Sadly, like most of their in-house reveals, the photos are miniscule; so, here's a big one we took of Bane at Toy Fair:

In the action figure world, it seems like what's old is new again. However, ass-whippin' never gets old!-- just the ones who do it. Today we're taking a look at Mattel's Defining Moments Stone Cold Steve Austin from their WWE line of figures! The Defining Moments toys are the cream of the crop when to WWE figures, which each based on a specific moment in WWE history and use the "Elite" body style. This Stone Cold figure, fittingly comes from a night when he used a fire hose attached to a beer truck to get a point across. Sound ridiculous? Then you've never watched pro-wrestling!

Every year, there are a few things on our radar that build our anticipation for Toy Fair. One of those things is always the new Masters of the Universe Classics reveals during Mattel's Collector Press event! While this year might have not caused our jaws to drop to the floor, the coolness of new figures can't be denied. A lot of these figures have been previously shown during the many, many conventions of 2011, but there were a few all-new showings during Toy Fair 2012 including the 30th Anniversary creation of DC Comic's Geoff Johns: Sir Laserlot! Yes, you read that correctly.

Way back in that magic year of 1989, we sat in a theater in awe of Marty McFly's latest adventure in "Back to the Future II". However, it was the hover board he used to outwit Griff Tannen that really sparked our interest-- and our jealousy. Turns out, as we discovered during Toy Fair 2012, it only took 23 for Mattel to make good on their fiction promise of floating awesomeness! Sure, this hover board is only a prop replica, but thanks to built in sound effects and sliders (like the kind used to move heavy furniture) we can have something as close to BttF II as currently possible. Now if we only had a Delorean...

Just the implications in terms of spying on your older sister or brother alone make Mattel's upcoming Barbie Photo Fashion Doll quite the fascinating hit item at this year's Toy Fair. Remember the old days when a play camera would come with the Barbie doll? Here, the Barbie is the camera. You've heard me correctly: this is basically Robo-Barbie, with a camera lens and USB port built into her back:

With her bow and arrows, Merida is no ordinary Disney Princess. We almost, ALMOST wrote the entire chorus to Prince's "When Doves Cry" at the beginning of this review. For what reason? One: we love that f'n song! "I'm gonna go back in time and kill your mom!"

While from our mouths, this sentence would simply be an empty threat rattled off to an opponent after a defeat in Battlefield 3-- when said by Eobard Thawne, it's just a fact. The Reverse Flash (a.k.a. Professor Zoom, a.k.a. Zoom) is a time-traveling, speed force-warping, momma-killin' expert and is one of the seven figures in Mattel's final wave of DC Universe Classics. That's right, Wave 20 sees the line end at retail and be reborn (with mixed feelings by the collecting community) as DC All-Stars. This is due in large part to DC Comics wanting the New 52 looks of their main characters to start making their way onto shelves, and what better way to kick off a fond farewell to our beloved DCUC than by the in-continuity cause of the New 52, so read on for a full review of the Reverse Flash!
