Mattel's Batman: Legacy line of action figures has been very well received by both collectors and the general buying public. with figures such as Catman and Batmite in the lineup, there's a little something for everybody. One of the highlights thus far has been the Arkham City two-pack featuring Batman and Two-Face in their looks from the upcoming video game. Of course, one of the complaints has also been that they are too tall to fit in scale with the rest of the fan's Bat-Collections. Mattel is remedying this, by making sure those two aren't alone. the second round of two-packs were premiered at SDCC, but here are our first good looks at both Robin and the Joker figures from their upcoming set.

He's held the WWE Tag Team Championship, the United States Championship, the Unified Tag Team Championship, and the WWE Championship. He's the self-proclaimed "Awesome One" and he got his start right here with MTV during the 10th season of The Real World. Today we had a quick chat with Mike "The Miz" Mezanin about action figures and SummerSlam... but mostly about action figures. You know where our minds are at here at MTV Geek!

MTV Geek: Did you have a favorite toy or action figure when you were young?

The Miz: I had so many toys. I was spoiled as a kid 'cause I was the only child. I had the blue WWF (at the time, what we call WWE now) ring with the red, white, and blue ropes and I had all of the action figures that they had. I would slingshot them from the ropes and they would fly everywhere! I used to love all of my action figures. My favorite one was the Ultimate Warrior.

Today as we continue our look at Mattel's Batman: Legacy line of figures, we're taking a trip back to the Golden Age of comics. Yep, we're reviewing both the classic Batman AND Joker figures from the line! These figures are based on the days when Joker was the new crook in town, and Batman smiled a lot... since stopping horrific crimes always brings a grin to Bruce's face. What a weirdo! But, those were simpler times we guess. Back in the day when you'd head out with your elf shoe-sporting kid sidekick, load up on Bat-Shark Repellent, and grab a burger with Batmite. How did comics ever survive?!

Secret Six was a great comic. This was owed in no small part to writer Gail Simone and her ability to make a ragtag group of 2nd and 3rd rate villains into a compelling band of mercs-for-hire that you actually care about and root for. While we dig all of the cast, tied for our favorite (with Deadshot) is Thomas Blake, a.k.a. Catman-- the world's greatest tracker... and torturer as it turns out. Therefore, we were fairly stoked when we first saw bootleg images of his figure for Mattel's Batman: Legacy line. Now that he's torn loose from his plastic prison and in our grasp, is he as great of a toy as his comic book counterpart? Read on, you toy maniacs. Read on.

The Batman: Legacy line is Mattel's newest action figure line from their partnership with DC Comics. Consisting mostly of repaints and repurposed figures, it does manage to give fan's a larger selection of Batman toys at retail. Unlike the former Green Lantern Classics line, the Legacy line is scheduled to last far more than the first two initial waves. Today we're taking a look at Mr. Freeze, who's real name is Victor Fries. Yep, Fries. Why didn't he become a french fry related villain? That would have been a legendary move! Ah well, there's always hope in the new DCU...
