Achewood Television Trailer One "Hello, world" from therussians on Vimeo.

I’m flying to Los Angeles today to begin a week of network pitch meetings. If things go well, we’ll find a home for our show. Please cross your fingers for us, send us your good energy. And please, share this clip with your world. I’m very proud of what we’ve done.

Clocking in at just under 20 seconds, it's your first look at the "Achewood" cast in motion--doing things.

In a post titled, simply, "UGO Is Dead," Chris Radke confirmed today that the gaming/pop-culture site would be shutting down:

"Yo,

I've spent many years of my life trying to turn UGO.com into something entertaining for you guys. Hopefully you stopped by recently to watch one our funny videos. Or you found yourself debating one of our nerd culture lists, read a movie review or pondered the age old question "Who would win in a fight, a minotaur armed with a trident or a centaur armed with a crossbow." Could be you tried to win something off our homepage or you Googled "Hot Girls" and found a couple of pics you liked. I don't really care how you got here, just as long as you were entertained when you did. Read More...

What kind of circumstances could have gotten "30 Days of Night" creator Steve Niles in a room with "Godkiller" creator Matt Pizzolo and Bad Religion guitarist Brett Gurewitz, but somehow they all decided to start their own comic book company. They're calling it Black Mask Studios, and starting this spring, they'll be releasing a series of titles with a digital/trade model.

My familiarity with "Tiger & Bunny" begins and ends with last year's feature, "The Beginning," a Reader's Digest-sized version of the corporate superheroes' origin stories as they worked together to protect (and become the most popular) characters on the capes and tights set in Sternbild City. But I really, really liked what I saw, the show bringing a fresh take on the whole "cynical heroes learn to do better" concept, and the animation in the feature was terrific.

The 26-episode series has been streaming on Hulu for a while now, but if you're too lazy (like me) to navigate a couple of menus to check it out, Viz is releasing the series on Blu-ray and DVD starting next week.
