Sorcery unveiled! Magic, the likes of which have never been seen!

Even more magical, however, is the manner in which Marvel Vice President, Executive Editor Tom Brevoort came to rediscover the fully completed Dr. Strange story after years inside the Marvel Vault.

"Over the years, there have been a number of stories that we've commissioned but that were never completed for one reason or another. I and other editors up here have held onto the work that was finished, sometimes for decades, in the hope that eventually we'd be able to see these stories in print,” said Brevoort. Read More...

Ape Entertainment is pleased to announce that the new all-ages comic Scratch9 #1 written and created by Rob M. Worley and illustrated by Jason T. Kruse, has sold out from the publisher. This sell-out is an auspicious beginning for this break-out comic featuring a runaway cat who can summon any of his nine lives to help get him out of a jam.

"We knew the response for this book was going to be big so we made sure we over-printed it by a pretty large amount," said Ape Entertainment Co-Publisher David Hedgecock. "Needless to say, the response was MUCH greater than anticipated and we owe a big thanks to all the retailers and fans for that."

Though some copies of issue #1 may still be available at the retail level, Ape Entertainment recognizes that the sell-out is inconvenient for fans who are having trouble finding the book. To that end the book is now available on iTunes through the Comics+ app from iVerse Media.

"I've been floored by all the great buzz the book has been getting and pleased that we can keep the book available through the Comics+ app," said Worley. "I know fans are going to love discovering all the aspects of our cat hero across the four-issues of the mini-series."

Fans who don't already have the Comics+ app on their iPad, iPhone or iPod can install it for free it from http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/comics/id323397665?mt=8

Download issue #1 today and find out why Katherine Dacey of School Library Journal says, "One of the best new series I discovered at this years’ New York Comic-Con is Scratch9!"

New York Times best-selling author Orson Scott Card revolutionized science-fiction with Ender’s Game and now returns to write the most requested sci-fi story in the world with Marvel Entertainment in February’s Formic Wars #1 (of 7). Selling millions of copies worldwide, Ender’s Game is one of the most popular science fiction epics of all time, with fans begging for Card to tell the origins of this universe! Now Orson Scott Card himself, teaming with co-writer Aaron Johnston and rising star artist Giancarlo Caracuzzo, returns to write the prequel in graphic fiction format. Long before Ender Wiggin fought the Third Formic War, humans battled the Formics on our own turf. Twice. Outgunned and unprepared, the human race stands on the brink of total annihilation.

“I've been so happy with Marvel's comic-book adaptation of Ender's Game, Ender's Shadow, Ender in Exile and Speaker of the Dead that I wanted my long-imagined story of the Formic Wars to appear first in this wonderfully visualized form,” said Orson Scott Card, “With a whole new set of characters, putting together a ragtag fleet of improvised and adapted spacecraft to take on an alien invader, I think these are some of the best, most inspiring stories in the Ender's Game future history, and through the work of Marvel's great team of writers and artists, my tales are coming to life with a power and reality I never could have managed on my own.” Read More...

In January 2011, Ben McCool, the creative mastermind behind Choker, teams up with brilliant artist Nikki Cook (Girl Comics, DMZ) for a haunting tale of mystery and memory loss.

McCool explains, "Memoir is a mysterious match up of Twin Peaks and the Twilight Zone, featuring a town devoid of memory, an eager journalist looking to exploit it, and a strange young girl watching over everything -- a young girl who claims to be the daughter of God."

"There'll be plenty of twists and turns as the truth behind Lowesville's surreptitious past is revealed, and with Nikki Cook's exquisite art bringing it all to life, I think Memoir is a must-read mini-series for early 2011!" he adds.

The setting of Memoir, Lowesville, is a small town in the American Midwest, peaceful and quaint. But one morning the population awakens with no idea of who they are, where they are, or what's happened. The town's memory has been completely erased. All except for the mind of one man... He remembers everything.

Memoir #1 (of 6) (NOV100409), a 32-page black-and-white comic book featuring a cover by John Cassaday (Planetary, Captain America), will be in stores January 19, 2011, for $3.50.

Artifacts, Top Cow’s latest Universe event series by writer Ron Marz (Witchblade) with the art team of Michael Broussard (The Darkness), Rick Basaldua (The Darkness), Sal Regla (Magdalena) and Sunny Gho of IFS (Velocity), experienced another sell out at the distributor level for its second issue. A second printing of Artifacts #2 has been sent to Diamond Comics Distributors to meet the demand and will be available in local comic stores tomorrow.

"The reception for Artifacts has been tremendously gratifying,” said Marz. “I feel like Artifacts #1 going back for a third printing was a pretty good indication that if you put together an event storyline that's accessible to new readers, people will give it a try.”

“So seems like Artifacts #2 selling out is an indication that those people are sticking with the series, which is hugely appreciated. I hope everyone is in for the long haul, because there's a lot more to come,” added Marz.
