MTV Geek is pleased to give you the FIRST peek at the trailer for the upcoming book "Star Wars: Scoundrels" by Timothy Zahn -- hitting stores from Del Rey and LucasBooks January 1st 2013 !

Zahn is of course the author of the #1 New York Times bestselling "Star Wars: Heir to the Empire," and this new adventure ups the ante with an "Oceans Eleven" type caper featuring the likes of Han Solo, Lando Calrissian, Chewbacca, and some of the galaxy's other most notable rogues. White House Petitioned For Real-Life 'Death Star'

EW reports that Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy wants to put out "two or three" Star Wars movies every year. Remember that wait that felt like forever between "Empire Strikes Back" and "Return of the Jedi"? Now it'd just be like "oh in a few months we get a new one."

So remember when Obi Wan cut Darth Maul in half and sent him sailing into the abyss? That was a cool right? Well those of you familiar with "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" know that Mauly survived and was outfitted with a pair of robot legs and is currently wreaking havoc on that far, far away galaxy. Doctor Who Alert: David Tennant To Guest-Star On 'Clone Wars'!

The Tenth Doctor is back -- well, sort of. Former "Doctor Who" star David Tennant is lending his voice to the Cartoon Network hit "Star Wars: Clone Wars"! He will be playing a droid named Huyang, in an episode airing Nov. 10th called "A Test Of Strength."

RUMOR: Disney Buying Hasbro?

OK folks, take this one with a grain of plastic for the time being. Unless you’ve been under a rock, you’ve heard that Disney acquired Lucasfilm for roughly $4 billion last week and Marvel for around the same price a few years prior. Well, we have it on good authority that serious discussions are happening at the highest levels of both Disney and Hasbro to fold the largest toy and game company on the planet into the Mouse.

From what we’re told, these are still just discussions at this point, but serious enough that something could be announced at any time and create ripples throughout the entertainment industry. The Lucasfilm acquisition has been reported as taking as few as 6 months to complete. On the other hand, Disney Chairman and CEO Bob Iger has until 2015 on his current contract, and he waited about 3 years in between the acquisitions of Marvel and Lucasfilm, so we may be without firm news on this for some time.
