Star Wars creator George Lucas wowed the crowds at Star Wars Celebration VI yesterday by making a surprise appearance at the Orlando event during the "Clone Wars" panel. He wasn't scheduled to be there; if anything, the relationship between him and his films/fans have been strained this year. In March he told the press that he was "done" with Star Wars, and in June he stepped down as head of LucasFilm. Star Wars Celebration VI was filled with excitement today, as "Robot Chicken" team Seth Green and Matt Senreich revealed their brand spankin' new TV series, "Star Wars: Detours." In the spirit of "Robot Chicken," the animated show will poke fun at the Star Wars franchise. According to E Online, Green told the panel at SW Celebration how the show came to be:

So last night Lucasfilm blessed NYC with the only east coast theatrical screening of the final two episodes of Star Wars: The Clone Wars Season 4 - "Brothers" and "Revenge." These episodes are so cool to see on the big screen, the effects look even more amazing and the sound is outta control!! The theatre was full of fans, big and small. There's no denying the speeder bikes we saw in Star Wars were absolutely amazing. To this day we still hope that we'll get a chance to ride something so impressive, but it may not be as far-fetched as we once thought.
